Taking a chunk of land into outer space...something similar occurs in the 1984 Secret Wars. But I was kind of hoping the characters would go on an adventure in space (instead of returning home after killing the demons). Notice how the beret Akemi wears in one scene has "Mimmie" written on it instead of "Minnie" (Disney character). There's a laughable moment when one of Nagumo's classmates asks if he's the one behind the murder-rapes. I don't blame Kuroko for sneaking into the girl's locker room. Even Danny Phantom does that and he's from a children's cartoon. And could Goro be the first character in manga to have two penises?
What a one-sided fight between an awakened Nagumo and Komura-san (the student who turns into a monster that kills women). The power difference between the Overfiend and any enemies so far has been too great for the fights to be interesting. In regards to Yuichi, what the heck—having to cut his penis off to obtain great strength. Imagine if the demons were just humans wearing masks trying to trick him. What a messed up prank that would be. And here's something I'm wondering: what did Yuichi do with his old penis after amputation?
We got our very first fourth wall break when Amano says, "I haven't gotten much screen time lately!" You know who we actually haven't heard from in a while though? Amano's sister, Megumi. Regarding Yuichi again, I really didn't want to see him murder his mom. That might be the most evil thing he does in this volume. Something more silly than evil is when Yuichi shows his penis to Akemi to get her to date him. I guess that's the eighties equivalent of sending someone a d*ck pic.
I looked at FAKKU's third volume and the original Japanese volumes side by side. Ignoring full page illustrations, here are pages I found in FAKKU's version but not in the original. (As FAKKU's version doesn't have page numbers on the bottom right corner, I'm using the volume cover as page 1.)
Volume 3:
No pages, but page 17 is where the story stops in the third Japanese volume.
Volume 4:
Pages 38-42. That’s the scene where an old lady tries to kill Nagumo in class.
Pages 128, 130, and 184.
Some side notes. Page 161 (fourth Japanese volume) isn't in FAKKU's third volume. It's a page featuring two demons outside Yuichi’s home. And page 213 is where the story stops in the fourth Japanese volume.
Volume 5:
No pages, but the corresponding page to the end of FAKKU's third volume is 81 in the fifth Japanese volume.
