Okay so I am alittle late to the game but I gotta say, for the limited amount of source, I love this manga and think it could do pretty good with an anime/reboot. It has good art, and a good story, one that could potentially be explored further. Of course I will admit the possibilities that the show will not perform, or the story might deteriorate. With this said, I think the reverse can also apply, where it gets better or the anime does amazing. Making an anime could attract new audiences as well, from those who just watch anime, to those who find the manga they read from anime, and even other just manga readers. It would bring attention to the series. And since I am not one to just say things, I will also provide some other manga/anime that have a similar situation ( I will be using ratings and audience size from this website).
First, Juuni Taisen. It is a 4 volume manga, rated at 6.69 stars and an audience size of 626 reported readers. It got animated, reviewed at 6.55 stars by a total of 107,189 reported viewers. I personally enjoyed the show, but I wouldn’t consider it to be in my top 10. Taking this with a grain of salt, there appears to be an increase between manga readers and anime viewers. This anime was also 12 episodes. Now I would like to bring up Fairy Tail, a manga with 136,984 readers, rated at 7.65 stars. We all know this has an anime, with 671,727 viewers, rated at 7.68. FT has a similar rating as Black Torch, and also shows an increase between readers and viewers. There is also Black Clover, with 48,762 readers at 7.68 and 350,159 viewers at 7.36. I think you see where I am going. There are examples of similar ranked and/similar popularity that have both or either an extended manga and anime adaptation. I could also bring up how some more popular shows/manga are beat out by less popular ones. With naruto being ranked 353 in the anime category. Personally I can not think of 352 other anime in the same category. This shows that a large audience is not required, or is it able to predict a good show/manga. So now, I would ask for someone to make a petition, I would do it myself, but with my current life, I do not have the time or energy to keep up with the petition, sharing, updating, etc. I will leave this up to whoever decides to make a petition, but I suggest 3 different outcomes to push for, with the preferred first, and least preferred last. Start the manga again, and get anime adaptation. Get anime adaptation. Continue manga. All of these will allow for a better chance to gain audiences, and potentially make it one of the better manga/anime to watch. |
