| Ah, looks more like a character introduction than plot. I’d like to have seen more of the development of Miroku’s feelings. It seems she was already at least slightly crushing on him at the beginning of the story. Kouichi is one thing, given the background and his meeting with Miroku, but I’d have liked to see more of her have developed the crush. I mean, I guess it could just be more of “she’s aware of him as a man given their relationship” than a crush, but it feels like a crush. Would’ve liked to see them get introduced. More info about why the marriage will save her, info about why scaring him would void the marriage, and why she would even want to void it when the marriage is what will save her. I’m here talking about the crush and episodic nature being the problems, but it really is kinda bothersome how little an explanation we have gotten on the whole nature of their relationship beyond that of being engaged. Hopefully it will be explained later on.. |
