I am in big pain and I still can't get over how both of them got separated from each other. I'm still not quite sure if Satoru is still alive, but this is already the last chapter and I'm very sure there would never have a sequel, which is sad for me because I wanted more chapters, even if it's just an extra chapter. I wanted to know what happened after the chaos and if Satoru is still alive. I really want the both of them to meet each other and stay together as a family again. But I still appreciate the nicely written story. Giving it a 10/10 for perfect drama and action, and for making me bawl my eyes out. Too tragic and sad :((

If you haven't already then you should also dive into the rest of Takahashi Tsutomu's works.
Jiraishin is the closest series to Zankyou in terms of atmosphere, action etc. so it's a must read for sure.

I was ready for a tragic ending, still the final scene upset me so much. I thought we would see the backstory of Satoru towards the ending, but there wasn't even a hint of it.
