I know that manga exists in the realm of fantasy. However, I can't get over this. There is no way, a sixteen or seventeen year old boy would want to be just "friends" with another girl his age. I don't buy it, not for a second. These characters should be like 9-10 in elementary school, then I would buy it.

I watched 5 episodes of the anime, I only read one chapter of the manga, I really disliked the paneling so I stopped. I may be the only one who feels this way, it just didn't jive with me, the setting especially.

Oh, they are this old?? Tbh i skimmed through a lot in the beginning because I couldnt get used to the paneling at first. So it's fair that I missed that part. They look so young!! I'd have guessed them to be around 12, maybe 13.
