| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Quite the development we had this chapter, The Elder was a very important person for the Tenrou nation's rise called Enji, but seeing the path Zuou was walking towards, he decided to escape. Zuou is truly relentless, not taking well the words of Enji, but The Elder is right, this man is most likely gonna get betrayed out of fear and/or hate. The really interesting part comes next, The Elder sets up a plan for Hinowa and company to go east of Wakoku and conquer the land there under Hinowa's rule, so she can stop all the warring that's is happening in the continent. She, of course decides to go with that plan instead of fleeing, the other suggestion by Enji, she will conquer the relatively unorganized land of the east of Wakoku so she can defeat Zuou's forces and stop the war, cue the title Hinowa Conquers. Everyone is on board, but Suzumaru, who takes option C and decides to take on Tenrou from the inside, taking advantage that Akame killed Moegi to climb the military ladder. This is actually a solid support plan for Hinowa's effort, if only he wasn't so blinded by rage at Zuou for killing Hisame, Suzumaru raised his death flag to stupid levels, doubt he'll be able to kill Zuou by himself, just hope he can buy some time or scramble them from within to help Hinowa. I'm definitely interested in how the story will play out from now on. |
| "Hisame meant too much for me" is what Suzumaru said before he went to avenge Hisame. I wonder if he really was in love with him or what was going on between them. Oh and Zuou really is a maniac, boiling the elder alive. Although his sadism is probably child play compared to Esdeath's. |
| The threat level is certainly nowhere close to the previous series. These guys are dangerous, but if Akame wasn't nerfed then even without Murasame she'd clean this situation up in a day or two. Unfortunately she's got limits though. And really unfortunately that she's now gotten very little progress on resolving her own situation much less helping Tatsumi. Since the only guy that had any potential answers is now boiled to death. Zuou is definitely a problem. Restraint just doesn't have a place in his dictionary. Not even like the Elder disagrees with the idea of conquering in general. But if you do things the way Zuou is...there's no point. He's going to conquer, create havoc, and then just get killed. Either by enemies from outside or betrayed from within. The problem of course is that he can do a lot of harm before that point. This is the point though where things finally get interesting. The main cast took a legitimate hit here and lost people. Now starts a long, but interesting road of Hinowa building her own Kingdom. There's a need to build up a legitimate military force in order to take on these guys. Ideally they need to recruit and get stronger as well. Akame only has a few uses of that medication left. Can only take down so many of the top threats herself. |
