I really hope they change the original plot and make Kazuya choose Sumi. I don’t think this will happen. What I can see so far is that it is the same story line as the original, but in Sumi’s perspective. You can see in this chapter that she “talked” (with us) more than the original. I mean, she’s the MC of her spin-off. Yes I indeed prefer her over Chizuru, but so far, it’s just her perspective over the original lore. Since she does not appear very often on the original, we can expect to see where she has been during those times when she wasn’t around, which I think it’s also cool to see. |

If we are just going to redo the main story from Sumi's pov then this manga will end pretty fast considering how rarely she appears. |
| Things happened exactly as the main manga so this won't deviate from the original story and instead we'll keep seeing things from Sumi's pov. I hope we get to see more of Sumi's everyday life instead of stuff from original manga. |

| Kazuya legit seems like a decent human being without us seeing his thought process. No embarrassment, no horny thinking, no self-doubt, just straight up facts and words of encouragement for Sumi. No wonder she fell for him in the original manga. This spin-off is a nice way to look at the original from a different perspective and maybe even forgive some of it's downsides. |
