.... Man, this chapter was so deep I couldn't even laugh at the jokes. Not that there were too many to begin with, more like some small banter to make everything lighter.

I just... After all of this I really want to know how Mitsuki ended up dying because this smells like suicide, and it's quite heartbreaking that he ended that way because of some stupidity he did when he was a kid. I feel like they are not telling us something. I can't believe that he ended up on that road because of that.

Well, at least I'm glad that the whole "Haijin's fault" part is not true per se and more a way for Mitsuki to blame anyone but him.

ps: fascinated by the fact that Haijin distinguished them in 1 sec.

ps2: Mikoto's flashbacks about not being needed BROKE MY HEART. POOR LITTLE SWEET THING.

What happened overall was that Haijin was suicidal when he was young, and went into the forest looking to get lost and die of starvation or whatever, but he found JK there. The first time they met. He saw that she was lost and took her home because, you know, can't let a child there alone, especially if you wanted to die... alone.

Coincidentally, his sensei was friends with Mikoto's family, who rang her to let her know she disappeared so she could help with the search. She later found out that Haijin had found her already so everything went ok.

Then Haijin met the twin brothers. Mitsuki and Tsukasa. His sensei explained to him the truth about the incident: Turns out that her older brother, Mitsuki, (now dead), was jealous of her and fed up and abandoned Mikoto in that forest so she didn't bother them while they were playing. Some neighbours saw the incident and reported it to their parents, BUT, to protect his brother, Tsukasa confessed being the one at fault (they are twins so no one noticed), and Mikoto didn't blame him (because they loved him nevertheless). Tsukasa goes as far as asking Haijin not to hate him too while drunk.

Quite amazing scene because Haijin could tell them apart immediately and asked him why was he turning himself in if he wasn't the one at fault. From here on Mitsuki started blaming himself and all his resentment ended up getting worse (he also tried to blame Haijin to try and feel less guilty), but nothing further is explained. That's why I was wondering how did he die, and if it was suicide.

Then there's this:

Haijin has a flashback of him talking to little Mikoto while escorting her out of the woods, and then one about her as an adult, saying in both: "It would be... better if I wasn't around." and "If my existence becomes a bother, I believe it would better if I disappeared." So Haijin makes the correlation between both scenes: because of his brother not wanting her, she has low self-esteem and doesn't want to be a bother.

Quite a sad chapter.

Yeap, as they have mentioned to you already. The last chapter that went out in Japan is 64. If you have somehow seen 100 in some webpage, it may be because they are dividing the original chapters into two parts, or something similar.

Also, be careful with sharing links here because some are against the forum's rules. That's why I mostly ask people to PM me.
