Mangaupdate signlas 8 volumes beign packed in this series. I dunno if they skipped parts because it makes huge leaps in story progress, but for me, I'd say it was for the better most of the time.

Im late but, the first 40 ch were in the anime, the manga had everything and explained on how he got to the position he acquired in labyrinth of magic the anime
