| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Okay, a decent amount to unpack for this second chapter! Overall, I think I liked this one more than the first, it just had a cozy feel that I particularly like, especially in the last few pages. Early on in the chapter we get a hint as to what their feelings were when they were in school, and I don't wanna sound like captain obvious, but it's clear that they already loved each other back then, even if they just didn't admit to it. It's clear that they just ended up burying those feelings just because they considered each other as "childhood friends" and didn't think it would go past that, especially Koyori. The last few pages were wholesome as hell, Hijiri coming in to check on her after she misses their second date, turns out to be where his confession is answered and they start (officially?) dating! And of course, the need for food interrupts what could've been a great scene between them, but eh, chapter was already great and i'm sure we'll see them do it plenty, so I don't mind. EDIT: Turns out I got that last sentence wrong, I interpreted the french translation as meaning "I can't do it without eating", when I think she meant "I can't do this naked" |
