I finally was able to finish the second volume. It took me longer than I thought it would.
This time the group, Oscar, Miledi and Naiz, are traveling to Andika to confirm the rumors about "the saint of the western seas". Andika, a city where people who have defied the church and fled the continent live.
Miledi playing with the kids in the water but always ending up being attacked by monsters. Poor girl, though it was funny to read.
In the Andika, the group ended up going to the casino. I have to say, Miledi looked really good with that dress. Though things didn't go too well since she lost badly and ended up getting into debt. The chaos that ensured was funny. Oscar ended up getting the title of " Mr. Fake Gentleman with Evil Glasses". Yep, his soul resides in his glasses. XD.
So this time we have Meiru as the girl for the cover. The captain of the Melusine Pirates. I wasn't expecting her to have a sadistic personality.
The Church was on the move. This time targeting the Melusine Pirates. If it were not the Miledi and co, things wouldn't have ended up well for them.
The highlight of this volume was the fight against both the Holy Templar Knights and the monster Leviatan. I was really impressed by Miledi. She was able to fight against the Templar Knights on her own and took down a significant number of them. The author gave a name to most of the knights which I wasn't expecting. Also, the way she took down Leviatan at the end was just too cool. Laus Barn, the leader of the Templar Knights seem to have known Belle, the maid that changed Miledi.
Miledi giving the middle finger to Laus Barn was funny.
The bonus short stories were hilarious. Oscar's and Miledi's secrets are out lol.
Just a small note for myself, I think Laus Barn may end up joining the Miledi and the rest of the Liberators. His ancient magic, if I recall correctly, was the same one Hajime and his group acquired from one of the trials. |
