| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- This post if for the physical volume. This was an extremely fun read. The story itself is pretty cliche and tropey, but the artwork is outstanding and the coloring was great. I'm really excited to see more of this. What also facinated me about reading this first volume is that the physical volume is a rewrite and redraw. I get the feeling the original manga was a web manga the was probably published on Twitter or some other online website. It looks like the author redid everything for the published version. It's great that the author did because they're great at paneling and from composition, which doesn't come through in the online version. The question I have now is that both are so radically different, and it appears that both are going on at the same time that I don't think these can be considered the same work. |
| I agree this was a really cool physical release, I like having it in my collection. If it's a self-published web comic (not published by an official magazine) it's not allowed on the MAL database, so this database entry would be for the tankōbon release. A good example is ONE's works. One Punch Man has a web comic version and a redrawn magazine version, but the one in the MAL database is the magazine version since the web comic isn't officially published as-is. Mob Psycho 100 is also a web comic, but it's also republished as-is in an official magazine so it is allowed on MAL. |
