Opening Theme Song - is it appropriate ?

I've always enjoyed the theme and background music . Always leaves me feeling calm . But don't understand the relevance or appropriateness of a love song to this series . Haven't read the manga . Anyone got an explanation ?

I really like it, although I don't know why they chose a love song. Maybe they didn't really listen to the lyrics, and just picked a song with a nice relaxing feel.

I haven't thought about it much before, but while it's possible the producers didn't think much about it I believe in reference to the show what Ginko may be searching for may not necessarily be a person. It could be the persistence Ginko faces in dealing with the issues between mushi and humans, and his compassion for both sides as opposed to behaving like an exterminator, which seems to be the brand many other Mushi-shi associate with. It's all quite debatable. Regardless, I feel like there's meaning in the song even if ultimately the focus of the full song feels stilted. As I'm writing this out I think the idea of a love for the mushi, or a want to understand them makes the most sense. That said I haven't watched the show in years.

Sorry if this all seems like pointless rambling, but I thought I'd share my thoughts.

Never really mind the opening song, I do think it syncs to the theme of the story very well but now that you said it, im now slightly wondering why they used a love song
