The conclusion to the Furin v Seiwa game is here, and while it's not flashy, it's still really damn good. It was a really good and competitive match with people giving it their best. Nice to see Daigo, and the others work hard like a team to win this one. Poor Urabe and Andy for losing the match but they showed heart, whilst it was nice seeing Daigo show immense progress since the Little League days when all three were teammates and Daigo was just learning the ropes then to be a catcher and teamplayer.

This series continues to be top notch. Very much a fan of Sawa and I was surprised she went home early. I hope they address the reason next episode.

I think Daigo is a better protagonist than Goro.

I'm still not quite sure about it although Daigo is a lot more relatable and grounded than Goro was. I feel like I still prefer Goro for his tenacity and spirit and determination to succeed despite all the hardships that constantly affect his life, from a personal, psychological and physical standpoint, but Daigo definitely can outdo his father as a protagonist depending on how well written he is in the future when he becomes older and potentially a pro. That journey for me will determine how Daigo really is.

Still, he's definitely one of my favorite protagonists I've seen from anime in the past couple years, and can definitely reach my favorites list soon too if he's constantly as collected and well written as he is now. It is refreshing to see how this anime took a completely different approach with the MC for this edition of Major compared to the original, and somehow make both look great.

It's not over yet, Daigo's team managed to defeat Seiwa, and he's already thinking in the who's going to play against after winning their next encounters. And yeah, they have to get rid of that sensei.

Different but not better. Goro is a passionate about baseball who didn't let anything stop him to enjoyed what he liked, while Daigo is more an strategist and enjoys baseball too but on its own way.

Honestly wasn't expecting them to win the game... I wonder how the next one will go with Anita's arm still being hurt. Will Daigo be the starting catcher and we'll get to see the Daigo-Mutsuko pair again?? Hope the rain doesn't stop the game :)

Yeah. I think that what might make people like Daigo more is the fact that he's way more relatable to "regular" people tan his father who was that baseball addict but also stubborn borderline selfish "genius". Also, Daigo is clearly more sympathetic now because the one of the beginning was (on purpose) unbearable.

Just a pity that many people do not seem to share that opinion. And even Japanese, considering how the manga sales are constantly free-falling and are now way far from the volume 1 numbers.

On another matter, I constantly hope that we won't have a pitiful love triangle with Anita...

Match ended an Fuurin emerges victorious once again. Wonder what will happen with the next game bc of the rain that was shown in the previer, if the match is cancelled Sakura could rest more so he can pitch in better conditions. Tao looking great in the half episode pause with that Hornets cap. Chisato was so cute explaining to Daigo that Sawa and Tao leaved.

Wow that was some nice plot armor for Urabe to miss that throw to first especially since he is not the type to choke a throw so close like that but still nice to see Daigo’s team win.

And I’m gonna say it again cuz this is too unrealistic but who is giving these little kids the ROIDS! Anita and Akira almost hit two bombs to left field which in some MLB fields would be a home run so that’s nice if all these kids are so good might as well be in MLB if they can consistently hit dam near homeruns. Like I know they want to pitch the idea that girls can and should play which is fine but don’t have them doing unrealistic shit unless MAL missed the “fantasy” tag and they are magical girls.

However not just Anita am I tired of with this bs plot armor cuz all of a sudden Akira who is a dam near sixth grader can hit MLB type homeruns hold tf up guess all the baseball players in Japan are all getting juiced up. And lastly what tf do these bats look like wooden bats but then sound like metal when hit. If they are trying to use metal bats the color of them is silver not brown I stg I aint never seen a brown metal bat in my 14 years of playing baseball.

I love the writers for making this type of story where the whole team plays good not just one prodigy baseball player in Goro but don’t makeup unrealistic situations. Baseball has a lot of strategies to help teams score that they don’t mention but are common in the baseball world use those not little kids who can hit dingers for home runs. Ight today’s rant is done but still I am glad the team won.👍🏾

Who would have thunk that Major pulls what Naruto did by having a sequel with the kid of the MC being the new MC, and instead of being shit from what I have heard like Boruto, Major 2nd manages to stay on par with the original with the potential to surpass it overall.

I prefer S2 Daigo he tries his best and is improved a lot. Old Major was to focus on MC but now is more focus on the team and that can give us better and more diverse plots. In the end is a personal taste.

Yeah I can absolutely respect that. I feel like this current season of Major has the potential to be my favorite season if the upcoming matches and development manages to be excellent since the first half of this season has been so great, and has really good production too.

And like you said, it's all about the team here and the chemistry is really good overall with Daigo taking charge as an observational leader. I still have a bit more of an emotional attachment to Goro for an inspirational and tenacious personality that he had but Daigo definitely has that potential to surpass even him for me (making him a potential favorite male character for me). It does make me more curious about what's his future direction too once high school shows up and he won't be able to team up with the girls to try and make it to Koshien. He's very close to Goro for me, and I can absolutely respect the personal choice you made there, especially in regards to the teamwork aspect.

I'm also loving the good animation and chill environment around games and training. Is way more soft than the normal sport anime full of testosterone. I still love those but sometimes having a more soft sport anime is nice. Remembers me Ookiku Furikabutte from A1. I loved that anime.

Would Hikaru's fastball be as fast as Eihou's ace if he was active?

I expect them to lose but its sports anything can happen, both teams can mess up and choke too. In next match i wonder what will happen with injured player and almost most of them are tired how will they play, or they will pull another miracle/plot armor.

Perhaps I'm missing things but shouldn't Tanba have been out with his hit since Urabe caught the ball before it hit the ground? Still great and close match, I certainly didn't expected them to win after all these errors and even an injury.

this season is using too much the "back to corner" situation to create tension, and those day win lol.
still loved this game, though it's somehow could be better.

I cried when Diago and Urabe's flashback started and when Urabe lost when Andy said "Give him a space"
I feel bad for him. I hope to see more of him in the future.
