| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- In a career survey meeting with Takamachi sensei, he thinks of his older sister, Tokine and the man in front of him who are successfully superior to him, telling his teacher his "dream" career for his parents is to become a doctor, even though his grades are bad. When he asks his teacher if he's married with a child, Takamachi replies that yes, and that his dream is to build his child's future, which Kouji is unable to relate without an answer for encouragement, and distant once more... When he discusses his career survey with Tokine, she tells him that she doesn't have a dream and lives day by day enjoying everything she has. As they continue, she asks his thoughts on naming the time stop phenomenon, and he decides to call it "Loss Time". When he asks why she draws as she's still drawing that cat, she tells him it's a habit to eventually draw it solely from memory without looking at it and when she compares it to studying, he realizes she puts effort in studying and isn't effortless like his older sister. When she asks what he does in the weekends, she suggests that they continue their patrol while teasing that she's checking on him as a guy who was going to molest her when they first met. Thinking it as a chance of a date, he suggests the zoo since she likes drawing that cat which she gleefully agrees to thinking on the opportunity of seeing any animals moving in the Loss Time. ... I like their dynamic. Even though he's insecure of his struggle in life, it seems they get along and he fortunately already doesn't have any ill towards her anymore. |
