Hey y'all, I just wrote my first review on this site (it's on Code Geass), and I'm asking for your thoughts and critiques on it since I intend on doing more reviews in the future. Just hoping to improve.

My Review

Nice job on the review! I personally haven't watched Code Geass yet, but I appreciate that you aren't afraid to be opinionated! I look forward to seeing any other reviews you create. ^-^
Enjoy!

More paragraph breaks would be really helpful for reading it, it's more difficult to read and analyze that big block about story since all of the different ideas are rammed up against each other.

I'm certainly no authority, so if I seem way off base please let me know! I haven't seen this show in ages too, so my memory is pretty fuzzy, but here are my thoughts.

Being that my memory is fuzzy, and unless I'm specifically taking notes for discussion my memory is almost always fuzzy, it's really difficult for me to see where you're coming from. I think more specific examples, particular scenes or quotes, would really help you make your points. Taking some of what you said about the Geass, for example

". . . my biggest gripe with this anime is the entire supernatural part of the plot. It merely serves as a cheap plot device for the story to make everything seem contrived and cause twists inorganically. The rules of the Geass are rather arbitrary . . ."

While it's certainly not unreasonable in a spoiler-filled review to expect readers to have seen the show less than several years ago, specific examples still strengthen your point and means forgetful people like myself can more easily participate in the discussion. As it is now, I know that you think the Geass is a cheap plot-device that makes everything seem contrived, but I don't really know why you think that. What plot-twists did it ruin? Which parts are arbitrary and why is that a bad thing? If that makes sense

Thank you for that input! Sometimes I go on tangents so that I'm not that self aware of the massive blocks of text I can toss up lol

I appreciate the time you took to offer some thoughts, these will certainly help with my future writing. I made some edits to my original review, while taking into account some of your advice
