I don't think there's a popular manga on cricket though, sadly.

Japan's Women Cricket team took part in an ICC Competition last year though so hopefully that'll encourage a mangaka to give it a shot first or a script writer to create an Original piece.

I really hope some mangaka gives it a shot.

Oh, my bad, I meant to refer to this earlier lol. The very U-19 World Cup 2020 in South Africa where my country, Bangladesh, triumphed...

Cricket isn't as intense a sport as kabaddi or the ones which are most likely to get anime. Tho it might make it into the manga world if done right, just maybe but that's obviously going to be T-20 which is sad for me because my favourite format is test :(

Cricket does need a bit of attention span and I think any format making it to the manga would be great for the game. I myself am a big test fan and don't like T20 as much but it does a damn well job of bringing in more people to cricket. Also, ICC has declared any nation associated with it will have a full T20 membership and that includes Japan as well so if someone decides to pick up cricket, it's surely gonna be T20.

T20 is more understandable for a newcomer and is more aggressive so it has to be T20. Regardless, I love cricket and any format would make me happy.

I doubt any one would straightly go for ODI tho. The duration of an ODI match might bore the new viewer out.

Also, T20 WC is getting richer and more popular as the time passes by and IPL and BBL are even rivaling the big sports leagues so it being focus just makes more sense; even more so considering the duration for a T20 match is similar to that of a baseball match.

I'd rather expect it to be T20 for the same reasons as @cythraul mentioned. T20 is basically a format to attract those who weren't so interested in the sport before. If it does have One day because of the World Cup, it would still probably start off from T20 and build up to important stages, eventually reaching the One Day International World Cup.
On another note, I realized a anime for cricket would only be good if it has top tier animation.

@cythraul @Niansuh To be honest, I'd still bet on the ODI format but I understand and acknowledge your reasons. Stick cricket wouldn't do xD so top-tier animation is essential, I agree.

I'm starting to kind of looking forward to a Cricket anime now...
