The story was all over the place and I feel things could be better explored. I know it is a short compilation movie, but I think it could be made into something more interesting if Sunrise decides to better flesh out the story in the future.

Sunrise, please, if you decide to make an anime, do it properly. This time, without knowing anything about the quality of the source novel, the story was so incoherent in first place due to your decisions. It's a shame. At least give it 1:30h to develop whatever that it's meant to be. I know that if isn't completely the usual Gundam plot you're reticent to invest too many resources, because it's not the first time, SEED CE73 Stargazer is a huge victim of it, but come on, please. If you don't even try to make it for real once you'll never see if it's worthy...

This was like arriving at a hotel room after a long flight, turning on the TV to relax, and coincidentally finding there's a Gundam episode of a series that you haven't seen before. You watch the episode, then wonder what you missed in the previous episode(s) and where the story is going to go next, and you wonder why the antagonist is so pissed off. Then you get let down that the one episode is all there is, and that they left out both the beginning and the end of the story.

This is absolutely the same as ONA version, just combined into one longer episode with added ED. Imo, it provides a better watching experience than multiple shorts, although the story is still very incoherent and feels like a long PV rather than an actual movie.

But the main characters are quite likeable and I wouldn't mind seeing a proper story behind whatever happened with them. Someone crazy and antagonistic piloting a Gundam is pretty unusual too, but I need context! Also, those teasers about Char and Lalah, why stop there? More please...

Overall, weird. Not outright bad because quality of animation and music is good. Just not sure why it even exists.
