| I can see why this won an award. Many stop-motion shorts focus too much on showcasing technical abilities in creating sets and movements, which may be impressive, but not really interesting after you've seen a few. In this one there's a clear progression: first they show the setting, then a somewhat usual idea, then the idea is developed to a logical, yet not entirely predictable conclusion. And in the end we get an alternative explanation to how flowers may sprout, something that children would love. A charming short film. |
