I love stories with reincarnations and bonds that can withstand the passage of time, but what Akinori said to Touma made things even better. It was Natsume, being herself, that brought them together before they could even dream that she was the reincarnation of Shuka or that they were reincarnations themselves in the first place, and it's beautiful. It was so cool to see them doing their best to protect her, not only because it might have been their role in a past life, but because they care. And the best part is that Natsume also fought to protect them. She was no damsel in distress and is probably the strongest of them all anyway. I loved Suzaku's role here too, I don't know how to feel about them standing on him for a few moments, but they were mostly riding him and he is the one youkai, if you don't count Yoshitsune, who was with them during that sky battle against Soranaki, and that's really cool. Sure, Micchi appeared and his Hyper form was useful for, like, the first time, still maintaining his comic relief essence when it ended before he could be part of a cool moment without becoming a joke though. xD Oh, and the battle against the infected Jibanyan before it was quite something too. Whisper managed to save Natsume from being crushed by him, he hurt Koma-san and Komajirou and it was so sad that Keisuke couldn't stand still. He went there, even though it was scary, and it was the perfect moment for Natsume to entrust him with the Youkai Watch Elder, giving him a fighting chance like she has even without it since she is probably more powerful than any youkai she can summon with it if she manages to awake her power. And she did for a moment, apparently defeating Soranaki. But as cool as it was, it still felt kind of anticlimactic so I'm happy it isn't over yet. I want to get a better look at their past life selves, especially Akinori's since it was the one least shown, and to see Shutendouji, Keisuke and Ayame playing a role in Soranaki's demise if possible.
