| I am planning to start kino no tabi:The Beautiful World but confused should I watch the original or the alternative version. Are there any difference between them except animations like more chapters are adapted in the alternative version and it's like a sequel? |

| There is some overlap but most episodes are different. The episodes that adapt the same stories are better i the original version. The original version has the best atmosphere and by far the best character designs. The new version has some extra comedy which is a mixed bag. The quality of the stories is similar, I prefer the original but the new version has some cool ones as well. You can start with any series but I recommend the original. |
