First of all to acknowledge the fact that as of Today (April 24, 2020), more than 27,25,920 people have been affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic and we have all our condolences to it.
Moving on, we are here to announce the second task of our series of challenges called ‘Quarantine Tasks’. We call this “The 2020 OAC Anime Watching Challenge” or in short “OACAWC 2020”, I know not a very creative name but hey, it doesn’t matter, does it?
OACAWC – 2020
Now, you might be thinking that watching anime doesn’t seem like a challenge, I mean we do it every day so how can it be a challenge. Then say no more, cause we present to the description of OACAWC 2020.
NOTE: This Idea is inspired from MALympics and most of the tasked are taken from their.
In this we basically want you to watch anime from description we provide you and each anime watch is considered an “item”. We have divided the participants with Ranks, every participant starts with RANK C and slowly moves on towards RANK A. To move onto a new Rank, one needs to have a certain number of items, listed as below:-
Each Rank has its own list of items with descriptions and alternatives. The participant needs to follow the following steps:-
NOTE: As a prerequisite, all participants should have a MAL Account, it can easily be made by following the link.
1. First, they need to choose one of the items from the available items and complete it
2. Then they have to take a screenshot of completing it and also add it on to their MAL watched list.
3. Then they can move on forward to completing the next item.
4. Once you have watched enough to go to the next Rank, they have to either email or send their response to the following WhatsApp Group, with their MAL ID, Items completed till then, their Watched list link or watched list and a folder/drive containing all the screenshots watched till then.
5. Then they will inspected and moved on to the next rank.
6. After the completion of the challenge deadline, no further entries will be taken and the Ranks associated with the participants will be made final.
7. The final date of submission of the challenge is MAY 24, 2020
8. NOTE: If you have not yet gained enough items to move onto the you can still update us before the final date and we will consider your rank.

1. Watch an anime with 10 or more episodes that are each 15 minutes or less
2. Watch an anime adapted from a 4-koma Manga, Web Manga or Digital Manga
3. Watch an anime that began airing between 2016 and 2019
4. Watch a Korean or Chinese anime
5. Watch an anime with a total duration of 16 minutes or more that's tagged as Mystery, Psychological and/or Thriller
6. Watch an anime with a main character that is a professional in their field
7. Watch an anime generated randomly using spin.moe — set mode to random and list to My Anime List and click on Spin
8. Watch a stand-alone
9. Watch an anime by a studio you haven't seen anything from
10. Watch an anime that's tagged as Sports and features an Olympic Sport
11. Watch a listed Magical Girl or Post Apocalyptic themed anime
12. Watch an anime with the word "Season" in the title
13. Watch an anime with a human main character that is not Japanese — has to be a real nationality; state the character and nationality; can't be half-Japanese
14. Watch a Movie with a duration of 90 minutes or more — 1 hour 30 minutes or more and it has to be something you have not already watched
RANK B
1. Watch an anime with 35 or more episodes that are each 16 minutes or more
2. Watch an anime with two or more studios listed — they must appear listed as the studio, not the producer
3. Watch an Alternative Version or Alternative Setting of something you've previously watched :Spinoff in basic terms
4. Watch an anime that began airing between 1990 and 1999 — the anime can begin airing in any of the following years: 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999
5. Watch an anime with 2 or more episodes that are each 30 minutes or more
6. Watch a listed Mythology or Time Travel themed anime
7. Watch a Movie with a duration of 120 minutes or more — 2 hours or more and it has to be something you have not already watched
RANK A
1. Watch an anime with 4 episodes or more recommended to you by a challenge member
2. Watch an anime with 6 or more words in the title — excludes symbols, numbers and single letters in the title (they don't add to the word count); the words must be separated by a space; titles that have words linked with a symbol (no space) will count as one; example: "Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania" has four words
3. Watch an anime with a non-humanoid main character — state the character; can't have physical resemblance to humans (like human hands); e.g. Monokuma, Ekubo, Bananya and Sousuke-ojisan are valid; Legoshi and Juuzou Inui would be invalid; excludes humans/animals/etc that transform into the other (like Arima, Ahiru)
4. Watch an anime with 50 or more episodes that are each 16 minutes or more
5. Watch an anime with a listed Indian creator
6. Watch an anime that began airing between 1980 and 1989
7. Watch an anime with a score of 5.00 or below and an episode duration of 16 minutes or more
8. Watch a Movie which is a spinoff of a mystery anime -it has to be something you have not already watched
RANK 0 : Bonus (These are considered the “God of the New World” )
1. Watch an anime with an honorific in the title — honorifics are: chan, kun, san, sama, tan, bou, senpai, kouhai, sensei, hakase; it must be used as an honorific and not as part of a word. For example: Sankarea would be invalid, Gugure! Kokkuri-san would be valid
2. Watch an anime with 8 or more main characters listed
3. Watch an anime with 75 or more episodes that are each 16 minutes or more
4. Watch an anime that began airing between 1917 and 1959
5. Watch a movie which was made between 2002 and 2019 of the mystery genre -it has to be something you have not already watched
