| It does present some social issues that you can somewhat apply to the real world but I wouldn't call it "woke" (god I hate that word) like the average show on Netflix, give the first few episodes a try its really enjoyable if you like the characters. Actually I lied the series is a furry propaganda in attempt normalize them in modern society. |

| Nah. There are certainly some ways you could take it that way though. There's a comparison of male sexual desire and the carnivores hunger for meat. And a potential message you could take out of it that men need to control their more aggressive urges. One could see some overlap with that and the idea of "toxic masculinity". But overall I don't think the show has any super overt "woke" messages. It's very much up for interpretation. You could even interpret the show as glamorizing "power imbalance" romantic relationships which is very anti-woke. |

| ^Someone has to be REALLY DEEP into that rabbit hole in order to interpret the show like that. But to reiterate, no, Beastars doesn't hit you over the head with its themes and messages, and it doesn't tell you what you should believe, unlike a lot of contemporary Western entertainment. |
| "in association with Netflix" = "We bought the rights to put it on our website at least a season after its actual release lol". I've never been worried for Netflix having 'power' over the production or changing things for being too politically incorrect, because they can't. So worry not. When it comes to the show, it may seem a little 'woke', but it's really not (and it doesn't try to be either). It's a must-watch |
