| Taichi has pretty strong fandom that is also quick to defend him when people talk sth negative about Taichi- have seen it happen in other sites. There is quite lot of people who don't like Taichi, he's polarizing, but compared to him Arata might be more of neutral character, not someone you dislike but not someone you would favorite either. Personally I'm getting bit tired on whole triangle in recent season, but I have been getting into new characters so it's ok ^^ |
| Just wait. I hated Taichi at first. Now, I much prefer him to Arata. Taichi's character evolves a lot. Plus, Taichi is hotter. I have a bad feeling that Chihaya is more into Arata but I haven't seen S3 yet.... |

| Taichi gets a lot of screen time, is written realistically, and is relatable to a lot of people. He struggles a lot more than the other MCs, and watching him overcome his personal challenges and recognize his own faults is pretty amazing. Even then, he's still a very morally gray character, some of the stuff he does even later on is... I'll let you experience it for yourself. |

Believe thats something i also thought and still dont understand to this day cause taichi is and was a bully the incident with cellphone towards the end of s1 jus gross. Also read through the manga to the latest chapter where taichi and arata battle where arata shows real character and wants to reconcile with taichi. |

| Bit of mixed response here, with some saying it will change with character development and a few saying he's kind of the weaker one (morally) throughout the entirety. Both definitely seem plausible and I'm sure Taichi will have a good amount of development. I'm not a very forgiving person so I feel like I'm going to favor Arata till the end, but I'll keep my mind open and we will see. It's really not that kind of show although, I'm all in favour of Chihaya getting to have her cake and eat it too! Would make for some good fan fiction! :) As for Taichi, after the bullying incident as kids I was so angry at Taichi that I almost turned the show off and now I'm rooting for him. I think he really matures but then again, I haven't seen season three. Anyway, Chihaya is adorable but seems more romantically interested in Karuta cards than either of the boys! |

I laughed pretty hard on episode one or two, where she finds out Taichi has a girlfriend, and her thought is more or less "A girlfriend? That's less time for Karuta! How dare he!" X'D X'D X'D |
