 Additional cast members for the anime adaptation of Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! (The 8th son? Are you kidding me?) were announced through its official Website on Saturday. In addition to the cast, the website also revealed a new key visual (pictured). The series is scheduled to air in Spring 2020 and will be co-produced by Shin-Ei Animation and SynergySP.Cast Erwin: Hiro Shimono (Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai) Roderich: Tomohito Takatsuka (The iDOLM@STER SideM) Wendelin (Child): Shizuka Ishigami (Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut) Kurt: Tomokazu Sugita (Hakushaku to Yousei) Amalie: Yukana (Amagami SS) Alfred: Daisuke Namikawa (Kono Oto Tomare!) Brantack: Yuusaku Yara (Zipang) Armstrong: Masashi Yamane (Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?) The main cast were announced in September and December of last year, and consists of Junya Enoki (Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu) as Wendelin, Asuka Nishi (High School DxD) as Elize, Yuuna Mimura (Aikatsu!) as Louise, Mikako Komatsu (Hai to Gensou no Grimgar) as Lina, and M.A.O (Mao Ichimichi) (Jitsu wa Watashi wa) as Vilma. The series will be directed by Tatsuo Miura (Hungry Heart: Wild Striker chief animation director) and feature character designs by Kenji Tanabe (Binbougami ga!). Takeshi Miyamoto (Sentou Yousei Shoujo Tasukete! Mave-chan key animation) is tasked with the series composition. Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! is a fantasy light novel series written by Y.A and illustrated by Choko Fuji that was released through the Shousetsuka ni Narou website between June 2013 and March 2017. Physical copies of the series were published by Kadokawa in April 2014, and its latest volume was released on December 25, 2019. A manga adaptation by Hiroki Kusumoto began its serialization in ComicWalker web manga portal in April 2015. Its 7th volume was released on December 23, 2019.
