The final scene is probably meant to make us think of the first meeting between Mars and Takaaki in chapter 1. Anyway, I thought this manga was going to be superhero themed based off the cover. Was it? I'd shrug in response. The American comic buffs would probably have a much better answer than me.

Regarding Ash (the male tiger humanoid), he looked familiar. I think it's because I've seen tiger humanoids before (an example being Kogenta). And whenever I heard characters use the term "neos" (which I think referred to the love doll that Mars is), I thought of Jaden Yuki's card of the same name from Yu-Gi-Oh GX.
