Babylon - worth picking up?

I unfortunately have to quite selective with what shows I decide to pick up due to time constraints. I have heard a fair bit of decent stuff about Babylon. It does seem intriguing. However, in addition to all the good, I have also heard that it may have major character issues and other problems Is this show worth investing my time into or am I better off using that time to catch up on something else on my list?

It is not a generic series which tries to make the viewer watch it - there is no superficial appeal. There is a serious story which is more appealing to those who are on more philosophical side of entertainment, and less to those who are looking to get hooked on a superficial appeal. By that I mean that most characters do not "shine" and make it interesting to watch because they are "real". They are just people in a modern Japanese society. The society itself is in the focus of this series. Whether you like serious stories which do not go around making a myriad of interesting characters, but instead go straight to the point, is unknown to me.

Its a great show. Its not fan service or anything like that. Its a serious crime drama with some very dark things being investagated
I 100% recommend you giving this a watch.

If babylon continues the way its been going its gonna be most likely the best series of this season in my opinion together with chihayafuru and beastars.

and so far 8episodes got released , its good....
