| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This was a bit laid back than the previous two episodes. We also finally saw the lab and the people he's working with. But we didn't get a more clarification to what project they're working at, but I guess for him it only has to do with reviving his girl. I wish we got more on the situation, like also what accident caused the girl to a coma. I think we got a hint, it had to do with the festival, but a more elaboration is needed and what are they working at in the lab. I'll check out "Hello world", maybe it might have some full answers, because it seems like an interesting story. The animation on this one was a bit unstable, but I enjoyed nonetheless. |

| Should this third spin-off episode be watched before or after Hello World film? I’m confused because this third episode was released after the film. Mind giving me an explanation for those who have watched all of them. |

| damn some of you should really watch the movie first lol ye this is a prequel but actually its just a backstory that should have been added to the main movie imo so ye Ruri answered Naomi indirectly through her old notes that she will never give up (living) and that gives Naomi a renewed motivation to finish the technology to save her but i wish we could have another side story like this about the base reality (that is in the moon and in 2D animation) |
| The 3 ONAs have more essence than the film. Lets see less, but transmits greater feelings, and the technological plane is in the background, leaving more to the imagination than to the error. 6/10 |
| Merging in with his adult self 10 years into the future, we finally get to see Naomi's lab, the life of his work, and also, some couple moments (before her untimely death). And of course, it all eclipses to the moment of his 10-years-older self to seek the past he'd lost and make amends to it (which links back to the beginning of the movie a.k.a the backstory). Not sure whether this spin-off is technically a spoiler or such, but if such, a good background before the entire movie itself. Personally, all these would've been fine added into the movie. |

| and finally few scenes about Naomi when he entered and worked in the ALLTALE lab while finding the way using ALLTALE system to make Ruri wake up from the comatose. it showed how Naomi almost hopeless and give up, but in the end after he saw how Ruri was trying so hard for him and his Lab mates also do the same, He get up keep trying until the event where he was succesfully diving into the system. |
| Not a waste to spend 30 minutes on soin-off. It just the story about Naomi. I think Rui will got the story too. Naomi is totally introvert. |
| Good to see that despite Katagaki's somewhat miserable state of trying everything to get the love of his life back, he still had people in the lab to keep him comfort as good friends. Glad I watched these specials after the movie, really nice expansions on the story. |

| I liked specials a lot.. Ruri and Naomi had their own kind of relationship.. In the way Naomi didn't try to change Ruri, but instead tried to connect on what Ruri liked.. Through books.. A bit maybe strange Ruri answered his feelings, but maybe she saw effort he put in, and this touched her.. Or who knows.. Girl who tried to change Naomi's way of life, to give him another perspective.. Was worried about him maybe not being able to get through things.. Yeah, this is anime.. So eventually they were able to work up solution.. But in reality, coma often can be something which you can't get through.. So it is understandable, why she did this.. But also understandable position of Naomi, who did what was meaningful to him personally, at the end of the day.. And at the third episode.. Naomi kind of found home for himself.. How good are these connections?.. Who knows.. For now, it seems, they have common goals and seeing each other work hard, makes them want to try harder themselves as well.. Not like Naomi needed that motivation even more.. |
| Knowing she was reading a book to try and get rid of her fear of heights made this quite sad and heartbreaking. |
