I've read the manga a year ago to a certain point but I lost interested, the series is good but it doesn't really bring something new to the table.

Except that semi interesting cliché story is exactly what people like. Just look at the top rated anime.

I believe I watched the first two episodes and dropped it because I found the ploys used to win stupid, but I don't remember what I thought was an asspull.
Also the MC is a typical loud mouth shonen type MC.

This anime doesn't have a SJW propaganda, but it suffers a serious problem much worse than that. It is just completely over the top terrible. This anime can't decide whether it wants to be serious or stupid funny.

The immigrants are traveling to a shit hole space station town that is worse than any place on the planet. They try to say it is for the jobs; but this world is set in a time where people can survive comfortably on the land without money. It doesn't make sense, and people are so over the top that you don't know if it's a joke or serious. Also, how do the immigrants afford the cost of air travel to that town in the first place? They would need to spend more money flying to the town than the money they would earn in a lifetime.

I respect your opinion and all, but this phrase to me just doesn't make any sense. Radiant is intended to be written for the shounen demography and presents itself as a fun action/adventure story. It is also visibly inspired by One Piece and other similar series. When watching it, it is clear that it doesn't want to be taken seriously.

You probably meant, by serious, that it tries to make intense moment by incorporating moral dilemma or world tragedies. In that case, that doesn't mean that the show can still be funny at times. Considering that the core of the show is the adventure of Seth and he both sees the good and bad things of the world so it's perfectly fine that we had both serious and funny moments. And secondly just because incorporating something said "serious" doesn't make the show any more serious. A serious show has a different structure and ambience to begin with. When watching an episode of a serious show you feel something different than watching something light-heart like Radiant. And radiant is not the first to incorporate "serious" elements in its story. I might as well see this almost everywhere else.

If you think Radiant is better comedy than One Piece, then you must have been high on acid while watching it.

Radiant jokes are lazy.
