Wow, parent cares about the daughter’s personal history more than the daughter’s life; a part of me thinks, from his view, the daughter’s life would serve no purpose once she gives birth. I am not going to be racist, and say that is a typical parent-child relationship in Asian families since maybe manga exaggerates things, but I guess this may be a model example of how adults value family legacy over actual love towards their family.
