After I finished the anime, I checked out the manga(on Manga Rock). Turns out the anime is way ahead of the OG itself. Someone said that was because the translator dropped it, since the series got boring and that the anime actually had to deviate from its original course(make a few changes).

I really loved and enjoyed the anime and surely want a 2nd season. However, due its unlikeliness, I'm super cool with the manga too, since I just want more of the story. Anyone know the real reason?

Thoughts?

There was an announcement about a week or two after O Maidens airing saying that the manga is ending at volume eight so the manga is ending and this is the way the anime is ending too with some more details added in. Also translation websites sometimes drop series after it is released in English. Translation websites are sometimes volumes behind the source material so don’t trust those websites on how far the manga is at.

Thx for sharing. But is there a way to read the raw manga? Also, any reasons why it came to an abrupt halt? I mean, google is showing signs of potential releases in 2020.

I'm pretty sure the anime follows the manga exactly, with only slight deviations because manga - anime can't always be 1:1. They're both written by the same author as well so I don't see why she'd change major things in the anime

But no, the anime isn't ahead of the manga. Manga finished September 9th which was around 2 eps before the anime did. The anime pretty much followed suit with all its plot points, the main thing I can think of that was done differently is that Hongou didn't cock block Izumi x Kazusa's kiss scene like in the manga. The only thing that didn't get included in the manga was the epilogue since that's being coupled with the last volume that releases October 9th

As for reading it raw, most raw sites have the manga there so it isn't that hard to find compared to other series'. Only downside is though some chapters are like completely gone/not available so it makes reading it a pain

Well, same is the case with the translated versions. Manga Rock is stuck somewhere halfway through. I guess thats it for the series. I know I want more but I also know that any more would basically make it boring and senselessly stretched. Regardless, have you got any recommendations though? Something similar to this series? Recently finished Kuzu no Honkai. Thx for sharing though.
