Everyone reading this is probably aware Arifureta enjoyment comes from reading purely for wishfulfillement, IMO that is the main selling point of this series (and of many series), not a shame in admitting what peaked my interested in reading, was the loli vampire that lucked insanely cute, and hearing what first happens to Hajime, and how he finds here... but I wasnt expecting the series to be so spicy. (this is to say, I wasnt expecting much of the plot neither a complex and deep writting and I m not surprised so far this series lacks those)
I mean there is nothing that special or groundbreaking about Arifureta.
That said, I had the wrong impression on Yui... just when you though she would behave as another typical female MC, tame and all, color me surprised, she actually (despite her looks) acts as someone of her age would (LOL).
Puts her "mature" charms to work and seduces the hell out of Hajime, stealing his chastity, right in the first volume, it was actually refreshing and probably a first I have seen on a LN, the female protagonist going this far, on the first volume EVEN.
"2D speaking", I think any healthy male would be disarmed by her charms, since she is pretty feminine (and hella cute) and then caughts them off guard by being soo agressive and not pulling any stops, not ending on teasing, going for the score.
Which brings a bit more credibility for her to be so old and all.
This freaking girl is like a nuclear bomb that nuke the hell out of the generic MC protagonist she wants to sink her teeth in, leaving him dry and with its pride hurt, without any hesitation.
I totally wouldnt believe that Yui would end like this... is it all also due to her nature has a vampire, a night predator?
Dunno but it is rather refreshing to see what you would initially believe to be a kuudere, to turn out in such a beast.
Hope she doesnt change through out the series, it would be retarted to see her being more tame, from what I have peaked on the manga, this side of her seems almost non existent, I havent seen her being so agressive and lustfull towards Hajime there, they skipped the bath scene from volume 1 and quite alot of bickering between the two, to the point I would say manga readers dont even know Yui's true personality at all.
I have only read volume 1 (it is 10 hours long, like 2 index volumes here!! O.O), and I havent seen the anime, planned to but started the LN instead due to all that backlash. God, I hope Yui doesnt change, it is funny to see Hajime being played around, bullied, toyed without a change of defense agaisnt Yui vicious attacks and disarming charm!
Kinda repeated myself a bit there, but I would like to see other people commenting on this regard, by everything I saw and read online, I would never believe Yui would turn out to be such an "honest and direct" girl~~ |
