This volume was interesting, to say the least. The structure underwent changes and focused on four separate events. The first story felt like The Mediocrity of Suzumiya Haruhi but the second story added depth to the story. It also made me realize that I don't personally like any character that much. Asahina feels shallow and fake. She might be a helpless girl but that's her entire structure. Her future identity is a lot more interesting and I can't wait for her to break out of her shell. Kyon is a good main character but that was because the final story added depth to his character and displayed his attentiveness. It's similar to Hyouka with its mundane mysteries.

Story 1: 3/5
Story 2: 4/5
Story 3: 3/5
Story 4: 4.5/5
Overall: 4/5
