This year's August issue of Manga Time Kirara Forward announced on Monday that Mountain Pukuichi's girls baseball manga Tamayomi is receiving a television anime adaptation.

Synopsis
In her Junior High years, the pitcher Yomi Takeda was not able to get very far in a cross-school baseball tournament. Since the catcher on her team wasn't at her level, she couldn't use her signature move, the "Magic Throw," and eventually regretted not being able to use it. After Junior High, she decided to stop playing baseball and went to Shin Koshigaya High School, a school without a baseball club.

There, she found her long lost childhood friend, Tamaki Yamazaki, who used to play catchball with her when they were kids. Tamaki also played baseball during her Junior High years as a catcher, and could even catch Yomi's "Magic Throw!"

Their promise with each other during their childhood could now be fulfilled! Walking together on the road of baseball once again... The story of the girls who love baseball will begin! (Source: MU)

The slice of life sports manga has been serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward since April 2016. Houbunsha published the fifth compiled volume earlier this year on March 12.

Ooo, nice. Despite it's low score I've been enjoying Cinderella Nine this season so I'm looking forward to some more girls baseball anime in the future. Hopefully this one will be a lot better though.

For me Taisho Yakyuu Musume always will be the best anime about girls baseball. But I will check this out at least.

I remember I've read the first chapter of it 2 years ago because of the cute cover but I forgot the name of the series after reading it, hopefully Doga Kobo will be the studio.

Hopefully it's solid, from what I could see in the manga, it's not great from the action perspective or the cute perspective.

No idea what to expect. I'd love a girls' sports series that focuses on characterization and competition, but I'm worried it will be more of a K-On for sports.

(K-On is fine, I'd just prefer my sports series to be a little more directed)
