| Time for a trip to the past where Ash met young professor Kukui, he already had the passion for Pokemon there! Seeing the totem Trevenant immobile in the present hurt me harder than I thought, what a lovable Pokemon. Ash now has a fire Z-crystal and is ready for the League challenge, hype! |

| What a nice episode, Kukui was really precious as a kid! His meeting with Satoshi was nice too, it's what brought the Pokémon League to Alola after all, thanks to Serebii. I don't know how to feel about Satoshi getting a Fire Z-Crystal though, it was kind of Kaki's signature move, but I guess it's fine. I know it was the first time he used it, but he wasn't nearly as cool as Kaki after all. lol And how could Oorot die in just a few years, Kukui is young after all, two decades at most(?), Being a ghost? I guess it was already really old or something. And Satoshi totally "killed" a fossilized(?) Crimgan with that Dynamic Full Flame too. lol Welp, next episode is looking good too, I love when the Pokémon are by themselves. |

| At the beginning of the episode, Kukui's book had no burn marks. But right at the end, it did. Is that a mistake, or was it meant to be like this? Mysterious. |

| This episode gave me déjà vu of the 4th Pokemon movie. Ash goes back in time thanks to a Celebi and meets his 10-year-old professor (Professor Oak/Kukui) with their worn out book of Pokemon research and significantly influences their life. Was nice to see a Celebi again at least. One of my favorite Mythical Pokemon! |
| this episode seems to me like they wanted to give ash a fire z-stone, so he goes back to the past to play a little with young kukui and get that. ironically - Vysarine said: it seems to me they wanted to do exactly that.This episode gave me déjà vu of the 4th Pokemon movie. | Present and past are connected as Ash was the one influencing Kukui in the past, very similar to the movie where Ash influenced Prof. Oak. Also sad to see the "Elder" Revenant being deceased :/ |
