Question about Fyodor

So Fyodor mentions in the movie his ability is not affected by the fog, but he goes on to say about his ideologies and not actually explaining why it is not affected. Did I miss something? Does anyone know why his ability doesn't turn against him like everyone else's?

I have read ahead in the manga a little bit and am currently watching season 3 (might be like 1 episode behind idk lol). Seems like his ability is most likely just to kill someone with a single touch even though it is never directly explained. And I guess it's not particularly a combat ability that can fight against you, but it can still pose as a hazard if it gets too close. So I still don't see a specific reason for why his ability is unaffected by the fog. Correct me if I'm wrong lol.
