Welcome to Lost Film Club (LFC) ! ^_^
I felt the need to found this club after finding many anime on MAL that users think they have seen, when in fact they are completely lost. I noticed that no such club or thread excisted so I thought that I'd make my own. I aim to make a good directory for users with sources, to be an assett for MyAnimeList.
There are levels of being lost, that I consider:
1. Completely lost, confirmed destruction of all prints
2. Completely lost, unknown if copies exist
3. Mostly lost, but perhaps some episodes or maybe a part of the anime exist
4. Partly lost, mostly intact but a few episodes or minutes are gone
5. Audio lost. I only care about the original Japanese audio here.
6. Not to be found online, but not confirmed being lost IRL
1–3 are the only ones to be found on Anime Relations. 4–5 may be written in the List of Lost Anime forum post. All lost anime, including anime only found offline, lost dubs, and anime that are may or may not exist, may be discussed in LFC's forums.
This club will focus on anime that is already on MAL. It is not our goal to add lots of lost anime to MAL. However, feel free to discuss whatever in the forums.
In the future, I would like to see some changes happen to MyAnimeList. I would like to fix the description of the anime titles, preferrably the "Background" section, to correctly show that a title is shown as Lost if it is. Perhaps directing people to the title they probably just watched. I would also like for titles that are lost, and even not yet aired, to not have a score. I do not know how to implement this though.
The only rules for this club I can think of is:That's it!
Okay, let's get this thing going! I hope to make a useful club, and if anyone wanna join they are welcome onboard ^_^ |
