DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- It felt really shallow that the girl in this weeks episode wasn't going to meet because she didn't have the right shoes on. (No judgement because most of us do this even though you'll find a good match much sooner if you just be yourself). I think her friend gave her good advice and I'm glad she had the courage to call back for a date. |
| But I wonder what did he think about her dress code though? They should really continue these episodes sometimes. There wasn't romance in this one, just some insecurity about the way you look to your lover. If he loves her he won't mind. Good episode, |

| Japan is the country of uniform. As I was there, I was amazed at how few people were wearing jeans and baskets. At one point I was joking saying that if you see one guy with a pair of jeans, he was probably "that one" rebel in the neighborhood. It might really be in the head of many that laid back clothes aren't "proper" clothes. |

| Based on the shots of the bar and the shoes, I suppose they are the couple from the first episodes. If that's the case, I'm glad they're fine. Interesting episode, being honest. Based on the comments, it seems dress code is something really important in Japan. And although I personally wouldn't complain whether my girlfriend decides to use sneakers, jeans or a hoody, I can understand some people might want to leave a good impression in public by wearing more formal clothes. That said, I'm glad the girl called him back and decided to show up wearing the clothes she feels more comfortable with. |
