Why the fast pacing and skipped material is a good thing

Karakuri Circus' manga seriously slowed down after volume 4, which also happens to be episode 4 of the anime. It started to trail off into different directions, not knowing what to do with the story. Because of this, it became mind numbingly dull. Pointless amounts of dialogue and exposition were crammed into each chapter, slowing the pace to the point that even two scanlation groups both dropped the series simply for being too boring. If the anime can manage to speed up the pace without destroying important story elements, then that's a good thing. This story needs to be told in a condensed form to be enjoyed.
