| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- The Queen is shocked with what she hears from Erin, and makes it clear to Ial that she lost her confidence, but he immediately returns it to her with his eloquent words, by saying how she is the shield that the country needs. He also takes the chance to talk about the man he suspects, and how the Touda that attacked her weren't from the Grand Duke, making the Queen further shocked. But well, she sends word to Erin thanking her for what she did, and saying that she is released from the duty of protecting her with Lilan to Erin and Esal's relief; but just a few days later the Queen dies because of an internal hemorrhage on her head from the hit she took, making things take a turn for the worse. Ial then spends the next few days pondering about his existence, about how he's an arrow which kills people, how he is a shield which protects from arrows, how he's only a tool that was bought with a bag of gold coins, etc. He's going through a lot with the Queen's passing, because he knows that the country is in danger, but also that he can't do anything, because "that man" will most certainly try to control Seimiya, and there's nothing that he can do, since she wouldn't believe him even if he told her what he knows. And also the Grand Duke was outraged at being blamed for the attack on the Queen, and for being completely avoided by Seimiya, and the palace. So he decides to take power for himself by force, which makes Nugan furious, but Shunan agrees with it. But he doesn't want to take it by force by marching with their army, instead, he tells his father that he has a plan, and asks him to leave it to him. |
