So we switch from the Mael side of the story back into Purgatory where Ban and Meliodas have been fighting the Demon King for 60 fucking years.

The Demon King seems nigh impossible to beat, until they manage to figure out a way to incapacitate him using his own power.

There's also some teasing about Meliodas' "original magic", as he apparently learned Full Counter from Chandler, I guess we'll soonishly see what that is

So,did Meliodas and Wild keeps hurting Ban until Ban can transfer his pain into the Demon King? Or Meliodas use his original magic on Ban and it is a counter to his ruler magic? I don't understand this chapter.

No, Ban learned to heal...
And since the DK power is "inversion", heal power will be converted to attack power and the other way round. So ban is attacking with heal power now.

No, Ban did not learn how to heal. He learned how to steal afflictions. He did not Heal Wild, he stole Wilds wounds. That's why Wils asked him if he is going to be ok if he takes over the wounds and Ban said it's ok because he is immortal. But still Ban learned to give stuff instead of just stealing apparently. As he said himself, if he can't steal from the demon king, he will give him somthing. And Meliodas said before that that the demon kings magic only applies over stuff that he can actually rule over. Soooo, Ban gave the demon King something his magic cannot affect. And I think it's more than just pain. Because Meliodas said that the "Inversion" magic transforms wounds, pain and weaknesses into healing and fortification.
If it turns out to actually just be healing then I will be puzzled because Ban cannot actually heal according to the chapter.
I just hope they specify what they meant next week.

This kinda got me thinking, if Inverse is a passive ability that can't be switched on/off, then where or who did he get his ability from?? Was he just born with it?

Also I wonder if there's a connection between the Demon King and the Supreme Deity :thonk:

No in the chapter ban literally explained that after having his power and stamina stolen so many times he’s learned how to give it to people. That’s how he healed wild he gave him his stamina, healing capabilities ect. That’s why ban looked at his hand and felt weak for a minute and why Mel was worried even though he’s immortal he still feels weak and pained for a bit for by giving away his power. That’s what ban did to the demon king. After figuring out his power and learning how to do this he can attempt to give his power to the demon king and the kinds inversion will cause it to have the opposite effect taking away the Kong’s power

60 years have past... and yet they look motivated as always. if I was them, I would’ve lost my mind after 1 month like every other person in the world. And suddenly, after 60 years, they thought of a way to beat him. did they really had to wait 60 years to think of a plan to defeat him? It’s really stupid... but it’s a battle shounen so whatever. nice chapter overall.
