Usami and Uchimaki So Far

I just went through most of the manga and I wanted to record instances where Uchimaki is slowly/crawling towards realizing Usami’s presence as a girl and potential love interest, and there they are! (I’m excluding references that I find quite creepy— like his calendar of panty patterns..)

- Uchimaki takes his time to look at Usami’s smile, evident through the way he changed a sketch of his from an accurate “indifferent” Usami to a smiling one
- Uchimaki has started drawing still life art, right after Usami mentions his “real art” makes her very happy
- Uchimaki ends up not quitting the art club after seeing her cry (He claims it was artistic inspiration for his next bride but we all know that deep down, he was utterly shocked and humbled to have been the cause od Usami’s tears)
- Uchimaki is always on board (voluntary and otherwise) but only after Usami’s persistent ways
- He’s only ever “touchy” with Usami. He actually wipes her off with his sleeve when she accidently chokes on her drink! (That one is my personal fave moment)
- He confronted her about her being sad that he did not participate in the “maiden” contest, and he showed genuine concern regarding her feelings.
- Again I must reiterate, every time Usami looks genuinely happy, he blinks in thought. That must mean something is getting through to him somehow!
- He tilted his umbrella every so slightly to the left during that time they shared the it during that one rainy day.
- Uchimaki let Usami sleep on his shoulder.
- He’s fond of sketching Usami— that portrait of her on the beach with the juice, her with her legs up sitting on a chair, her with Colette, her sleeping figure.. need I go on?
- Lastly, he keeps the feather duster at his side at all times whenever he draws!

As you can see, i’ve been a little obsessed and it pains me that not a lot of people are into this great manga/anime. Think I missed anything? Let me know in the comments!

I was backreading comments and I saw this this is from 2018 shi was 4 years ago. I knew all of this BUT THE FEATHER DUSTER???? HOW COME I DIDNT NOTICE THAT

(oh yeah I believe he also takes Usami's compliments by heart which was most seen in the ch was usami said she loved his drawing and in ch 111, it was cute how he was tricked by usami that the haircut looks good atleast, I also like how he just stares or looks at her in like 70% of his screentime when shes not looking or he isnt talking with her, and like let's talk about how usami is literally his reference and is most drawn realistic subject of his)
