Genzou is really awesome, definitely one of the most proflic characters/goalies in this series.

Looks like we got a lot of gameplay on the field but the one that continues to impress is Tsubasa. He builds momentum on his own movement while trying to make clever shots and misdirecting them for this match.

Genzou definitely deserved my respect.

Hyuga guy immediately on attack. Misaki blocked his attack. Tsubasa shoots but the goalie caught the ball. Back and forth with attack and block. It's hard from the beginning.

Wakabayashi blocked Hyuga guy's shoots.

Wow, the goalie has karate skill, so he has high physical.

Finally the golden combi's twin shoot for the first time in this series! Blurry vision.

Wakabayashi protected that one point in first half.

With the youngest member of Hyuga guy's team raising opinion about his play, he confessed about the offer from that lady and admits he was rushed. He realized he was wrong.

That start of second half...

OMG, it's Tsubasa & Misaki combi ED!

Am I correct that the sub goalie is voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka (he sounds one, I just realized)?

Great start for the most awaiting match.
Both Wakabayashi and Wakashimazu was amazing this episode and deserve to be the MVP.
Well the twin shot was beautifully done and it is just an unstoppable goal.
Nice touch for the duo ending song xD

I love this match so far.

Tsubasas and Miskas combined shot was quite something, but the goalkeeper stole the spotlight this episode.

With Hyuga not being hung up on his pride anymore, he will become a lot more dangerous.

I loved the duet in the ending! Brilliant!

I remember when I was little that I was very angry due to the method Kojiro was applying to (trying to) score goals, only shooting from outside the penalty area. And that feeling was still inside of me in this episode...

The work of the goalkeepers was brilliant. Both are my favorite characters, by the way! I love Ken's acrobatics and Genzo's not so flashy way of defending!

And we could see the twin shot perfectly animated!

Very hyped for the next episode!!

Good episode but I can't believe they're rushing through the game. It's one of the most important matches after all.

Ken with them skills, Genzou isn't as flashy but he's a much more solid keeper.

They downplayed the buildup to the twin shoot a bit, if I'm not wrong Tsubasa is actually supposed to be blinded for a few seconds. He goes after the ball based on sound alone and tries to shoot which ends up coinciding with Misaki shooting the ball. Anyway, the shot itself was awesome. xD

Hyuga trying to prove he's better than Tsubasa by scoring against Genzou from outside the PK area but looks like he's realized that it's not worth it.

Nice touch to the ED. :D

A little too quick, but that was really great.

Especially Wakabayashi in this match. His performance has been really impressive so far.

so far I'm disapointed, expected much more. other than upscaling and a little updates it is pretty much the same wen it could have emprobe on it a lot more, and I dont mean the special effects like the ones they had input in the 1sts episodes that where more nuisance than anything else.
thanks god they have shortened reviews and omited previews and didn't left them as in the originals, as I remember in the originals previews + reviews sometimes took over 50% of the episodes. but to bad they stel use static images as in the originals instead of animating.
don't take me wrong I like it as much as the originals but they missed the opportunity to improve it much more.

Hyuga so savage xD Not even 60 seconds of the match and he already left Tsubasa without breath.

Wakashimazu is an amazing goalkeeper, I really like his tecnic and reflexes. He was probably the MVP until that absurdly great goal scored by Tsubasa/Misaki.

It was a good episode after all and I'm glad Hyuga realized that what he was doing was wrong. Props for Takeshi as well. Now, I'm looking forward to seeing how they will manage to score against Genzo. I want them to win sooo bad but sadly, that's not going to happen so...

I don't mind it being the same, i'm already happy that they are doing an quicker version (in my opinion the classic was way too slow) and without the fillers, i just hope that they continue the anime after the middle school arc some day, if they don't i will be really disappointed, it would be the 3rd Tsubasa anime without an continuation...

When the fat goalkeeper said "Well Im the third best keeper now" lmfao I laughed so much

Nice episode. The Twin shot was amazing enough to get past Wakishimazu. On the other hand Wakabayashi ain't conceding goals too.

And how are Meiwa going to rush for the ball when Nankatsu hasn't even kicked it off in the start of the second half loool

An entire episode of fine play!!!! From sensational goalkeeping from both wakabayash and wakashimazu to the powerful strikes from tsubasa and hyuga. Assists from Misaki and Sawada were nice too. And the highlight of the episode the famed Golden Combo shot from Tusbasa and Misaki!!! By far the best episode of Captain Tsubasa (2018) so far....

An exciting episode again, thanks to the GKs especially Wakabayashi who doesn't need any trick/stunt to catch the audience's attention.
I had totally forgotten that the first Twin Shot was accidental. By the way, I really miss some cellulo light effects (flare, overhue, etc), why was it never translated into digital effects?

5/5

I think like someone above: nothing has actually been done to "justify" the re-animation. Sure, the charadesigns/drawings are better but they also make them often way too old-looking. The stillness of this whole series is incredible in 2018, it even emphasizes this aspect so much it could seem to be even more rigid than the 81 version.

that combined goal was cliche and all, but was more dramatic than most of the goals of the series xD

like how this match became goalkeeper duel.

i wonder if my suspicion for the tournament ending will be right or not...

The iconic Tsubasa and Misaki duo. Hyuga was definitely thinking about the scouts too much, I’m pleased that his teammates told him that it isn’t like him to act like that.

We don’t talk about Roberto.
