| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- What an episode! We start by witnessing again the moment Lupin is defeated by Albert, then we get to see him being rescued by Goemon and Jigen and just as Albert was ready to go home as the victor some assassins/terrorists manage to steal the notebook and getting away from there was all that Albert could do. We then get some of the past mingled with the present, we got to know that in the past Albert used to be a step ahead of Lupin, and was the favorite contender for becoming Lupin III, but he decided that the phantom thief life just wasn't for him as he decided to steal something way bigger and way harder to grasp: France itself. It was a great episode with lots of content and great action scenes, the interests of many are in conflict, there's a presidential election going on and a candidate decided to use the notebook as a weapon to grasp power for himself, but by remembering a talk of the past, Albert just couldn't sit idly by as someone else tries to steal the treasure he was meant to. I think that even if Albert isn't as nimble or as strong as before, or maybe this was never his forte, his intellect is still as sharp or even better, and it seems like that Lupin and him are going to work together again just like before for a common goal. |

| I liked the episode. I'm very glad that Albert is not the all-mighty villain. He's more human and likeable than I thought. But these terrorists... directly from a shōnen anime. |
| Haha they're eating cobra Not sure if cobra or not, it's snake for sure Pretty tasty, but it's hard to catch one :P The best defense is good offense is Sun Tzu, he didn't say it like that though :P A lot of actions, but no long con Next ep, aww I miss Zenigata always being on Lupin's tail :( |

| Good episode! It seems Albert is indeed Lupin's rival and even share the code name "Lupin The Third". I kinda don't agree that the name "Lupin" was just a codename for people to use. It's not like 007 where it's a rogue of agents using that name. I always believe the name "Lupin" should only stay for Arsene family and no one else. But whatever, this is a new Part anyways. So far, it seems tons of of assassins are just coming out of nowhere. Can't wait to see how Lupin and Gang will handle this! Also, still no Fujiko :\ |

Loved the Albert switch coming so quickly and not being a long drawn out thing. The action scenes in Lupin are always so much fun. |
| I like how Lupin of the past wears something casual from the 70s. The setting is modern, and yet it feels like the past which probably was 15-20 years ago was the 70s, so it's like a couple of decades have just disappeared. They've also made character references to the past, like Lupin no longer fawning over Fujiko, turning that into a part of his history which is no longer relevant. |
