What a strange episode....

Even compared to some of the others, this one had a weird taste to it with the MC being shirtless inside a mech and the comedy gags. Definitely could of been a better finale imo. There's another season coming for Fall, an announcement that I'm actually surprised about.

So Durandal sacrificed itself to save Subaru, what a kind machine. As for his brother, he's heartless for not saving him in that moment and it didn't bother him.

As for the rest of the series, I must say it was unique and a bit humorous in some parts especially when Isuzu was sewing his jacket and Subaru was dealing with his helmet while fighting. But the MC came off as this obnoxious bastard who was so arrogant and obsessive over his cockpit, in the end he didn't change too.

6/10 and I will watch season 2 in October because I want to see his battle with the Subaru B clone.

This series started out funny, but just got stupider as it went on.
I feel like the creators don't really know what they want this show to be...
They bill it as a comedy and a parody, but eventually the humor became kind of one-note and in the latter episodes I didn't really laugh at all. Then they try to do serious moments here & there, and it all just falls flat because the characters are so paper thin.

Well, at least I finished these 13 episodes. Rest assured, I won't be back for season two.

Nice choice for the mid-point: the classical atmosphere accidental re-entry (thanks, 79). But this "humorous" version wasn't funny, at all.

Enjoyment: 3/5

Very few effective jokes or parodies, yet nothing terrible either.
Score: 5/10

Goddamn it, that anxiety and frustration when seeing trapped air bubbles under the tempered glass/protective film even if you are super duper careful during installation is so me!

The montage of fake and sketchy memories with Durandal, all of which were other anime genres and subgenres made me giggly for a bit.

5/10 It was mostly meh... but I still enjoyed it. XP
