This was announced during the TV series run that this will be episode 4.5. And it has nothing to do with the announcement that was made at the end of Violet Evergarden episode 13 which will either be a TV series or a movie(s) and either of those will be a sequel to the TV series. Also, they have a lot of content (which contains Charlotte's story) on top of the chapters that have not been animated from the original novel to make a sequel TV series if they wanted to. One of the most popular stories (Lux Sibyl) of VE novel is not covered in the first season so they may want to include that. Also, I heard there are stories regarding Violet's training in the military. So, there are actually quite a lot of content. |
