I want to give Special Week a hug D:

Looks like more training this episode and the competitive energy is high. Special Week's eating behavior this episode felt like she wanted to use it as a distraction from being stressed out. The racing competition is still intense as usual.

Suzuka's speed impressive but she didn't seem like her usual self with her physical condition. That injury looks painful.

Suzuka went fast really fast and she got injured in the process.
Special week being just in time was nice tho now she will have to help Suzuka with the recovery.
The question is will she be able to recover seeing the thing that happened to her.

It also seems the others in the race and the ones watching where down so what happened was very serious.

She was way too fast. There was no need to keep speeding up like that. It was to be expected her body wouldn't be able to keep up with such overwhelming speed.

I kinda don't like the way this was handled (knew this was coming). I'm not mad that it didn't turn out dark, I just felt like they overdid the drama and the warning flags a bit. It felt kind of forced, though that may be just because I knew all along Suzuka was going to hurt herself, and was more curious how they would handle the real Silence Suzuka dying.

Regardless, this was still a good episode, and I like the new ED.

Pretty cliched but veeeery satisfying. Excellently handled.

It was ineviteable, but at least it isn't something very serious and Suzuka is most likely going to make a comeback.

Spe-chan you're the MVP.

Great episode and new ending.

Still, very enjoyable episode

At least Suzuka didn't die.

One of the animators blatantly has a thing for bloated horse girl bellies.

If i did my math right, at the 1000m post she was doing 62.7k/h (or 38.96 mph). And that was *before* she put on that final burst of speed. Dayum 😳

Well, this show is getting better and better, thanks in time to the added drama. I used to think that it was overrated, but now I'm even surprised why such a successful mix of moe show and sports anime got such low ratings.

P.S. Mejiro McQueen and Gold Ship are now looking pretty good together. I'm even interested in what will come of it.

Damn, this episode hit the feels 'o' meter at full strength. D=

When her shoe buckle came off in the tunnel, I did have a small feeling that something might happen to Suzuka, but it didn't seem to be at first when she took a commanding lead in the race, going at almost 40mph as well.

Sadly, that speed might be the reason why she suffered a fracture in her left leg and Special Week became the MVP of the episode by running at full speed to catch Suzuka in time. That scene was really well done, drama and all. =)

El Condor Pasa won the race in the end, but her expression told it all. No one wants to win a race like that and El Condor Pasa's glum look pretty much confirms that she was feeling downhearted about Suzuka's injury, along with the rest of the whole crowd at the race.

I'm hoping that we'll see Suzuka running again, along with Special Week next to her as well. As an added bonus, there was a different ED song that played along with both team Spica and Rigil coming to give Suzuka a basket of flowers from each team members. That was sweet. ^_^

Seeing how this show is showing these races verbatim to real life counterparts, she should be dying soon and if that happens they can kiss game sells and my ass goodbye. This shouldve been the point in the story where they break away from there real life counterparts. #PISSEDAF

Once again, Spe-chan with that round belly!

Trainer-san has it tough at times. RIP his wallet!

The foreshadowing was real.... and my fear became reality. I said it on last week's episode discussion. Poor Suzuka-san, fracture in her left leg. Ofcourse it could have been worse, but it's still sad :(

El Condor Pasa's facial expression tells us she knew it was not meant to be her victory, but she won either way.

Spe-chan and Trainer-san the real MVP here

They kinda did, El Condor Pasa didn't win that race IRL, he didn't even ran at it.

I agree though, even if I knew it was coming, I wanted to think that the studio was going to change this. Poor Suzuka, doesn't deserve this.

Suzuka wants to go to America and test herself over there, good luck to her, hopefully she can continue to win while she is still in Japan.

I thought trainer was just going to get the usual kick to the face but was some painful looking wrestling holds lol.

I had a feeling something might happen the moment Suzuka had to fix up her shoe, reminded me on when Special Week was fiddling around with her dress just before her 1st loss in a race, that was some incredible sped she showed though.

Hopefully Suzuka will be able to race at full speed again once she's healed, I want to see her & Special Week race together in the Japan Cup.

Bruh, if P.A Works actually goes ahead and kills Silence Suzuka like how her real-life counterpart died, I'm gonna be flipping 5 tables at once. Although, I highly doubt that's gonna happen so my expensive tables are safe........for now.

Anyways, great episode. This is definitely surprise anime of the season for me

was losing my damn mind seeing how fast she was going was hoping all the foreshadowing wasn't gonna be true but the moment it happened i was in shock just like everyone else seriously thought they might make her crash or worse die.

didn't think this was gonna take from actual events :( knowing P.A and drama this might not end well how they gonna do our girl dirty i'd be salty af if it continues following the real counterpart i wanna see her go beyond her limits damnit!

on a more lighter note 100% one of the staffer has a belly thing before i used to think it was PA doing some detail work on using it as a plot point but now you need a counter for how many times it happens not to mention the one girl that's always eating lol

When Suzuka's shoe strap became loose, I had a bad feeling. Like it was a bad omen(or maybe it is). And then it finally happened. Dammit. I had the same feeling when everyone was shocked.

Glad Spe-chan was quick to help her going incredibly fast. I hope Suzuka will get well soon.

Suzuka and Spe finally made a promise tor ace together. Rigel Team is trying to amp up their game so they stop losing to Spica.

Their trainer is kind of harsh (not really) when he wants to be. Silent Suzuka kept to her name and swiped that map before anyone knew. McQueen was just the best when she activated her "I'm pissed and will get back at you mode". She knows how to handle the trainer very well, so she's already learning to fit in with the team. Learning how to abuse their trainer is a requirement for being on the team.

Those girls sure can eat, although only Spe seems to gain weight.

I knew something was going to happen with that buckle. It was such an obvious flag that it could've went either way, with her winning before anything happened or what did happen. Everyone was so upset when the unbeatable racer lost, even when it meant getting 1st place, in El chan's case. It's a miracle that Spe and Suzuka are so close and Spe was able to save her before she collapsed. Even Rigel's leader was worried about Suzuka. Spica is a great team filled with comradely, though, so luckily everyone was at least equally worried for her, besides Special Week, who worried the most. Gold Ship forced McQueen into another one of her plans. The Horse Girl god was just right to lighten the mood and allow everyone to laugh. Suzuka will recover with all the support she has, and be able to race with Spe before going to America.

Well, actually i was more afraid that when Suzuka got injured, she would fall down in the middle of the track, and gotten kicked in the face or stomach or other fatal part of human body.

In the end, i praise this anime at this point because of the lighthearted atmosphere even in dark time like this. Hopefully it still manages to do it on future episodes. But even then they want to make it dark, i think i will still follow it to the end. For the sake of watching Daiwa Scarlet.

Silence Suzuka so fast. She would have owned them all if she did not get injured.

When El-chan walk past Suzuka without saying anything.. I sort of had a mixed feeling about her. But when I saw her sad winning the race.. I now have the opinion that El is just competitive, and not really a bad person.

Spe-chan save Suzuka from falling down. I like how Suzuka is still holding the goodluck charm after the ending song. :)

God this was heart-breaking. Seeing how the real Silence Suzuka was and how the anime version is 100% like her counterpart (the video of the real-life injury showed how she really did race having everyone else so far from her and all) hit me pretty hard too.
Well, since it's anime and not real life, they won't euthanize her like that, but maybe just put her on the bench.. ;_;

I knew they were going to use Silent Suzuka's actual storyline in Uma Musume. It's good that it adds some drama to it, and it's not as bad as the IRL story, but I was hoping they wouldn't go there.

In reality horses with that kind of injury would end up either butchered for dog food or being made to screw other female horses.
