Potential Yaoi? (SPOILERS)

I am asking for spoilers. If anyone that has read the source material knows if Lin and Banba end up as a couple it would be much appreciated. I tried searching online but there was a significant lack of info on the subject.

The source material, as in the novel, is currently on volume 8 and still publishing. Doesn't look like it will be serialised anytime soon and the fan translations have just moved to volume 3. From what I've seen and read I don't expect any yaoi happening and honestly, why would you even need it there? It's an action series with a predominately male demographic.

Oh, okay. It's just that the anime feels like it's shipping them so I was wondering if they actually end up together.

It doesn't need to be labeled as yaoi to have non sexual gay relationship in there. It already has a lot of LGBT themes if you'll look at it. Look at No.6 or Yuri on ice they're not labeled as that.

Is there a word for non sexual m/m relationship in anime? I know shoujo ai is the tamer version of yuri, I didn't know if there was a m/m equivalent. Because that's really what I was asking about.

I actually don't usually like yaoi and stay far away from it. This is the first anime I've ever watched where I actively shipped two male characters together.

this series is NOT BOY LOVE

It's a series for young (male) adults.

Banba and Lin aren't a couple, just good (normal) friends.
