DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Volume 2, Chapter 2: I don't fully understand the power structure in the Empire. The strength of the military means that one would expect it would be its own political force independent of the nobility. The fact the military seems to have just melted away so easily is what surprised me the most. I would imagine that all the admirals would fight extremely hard to maintain the unity of the military over any other concerns. |
