THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

That water technique is one hell of a skill!

I actually thought the episode was kinda funny. They added in some humor to make the battle feel more entertaining including Taikoubou's way of trying to countearttack that water magic. Bunchuu really is also quite a character to take notice for his abilities.

Can't everyone just get along?!
Nice to see thise episode setting up for future big battles and conflicts.

The fighting was pretty cool but honestly I can't keep track of why they're even fighting.

White guy at the beginning has a funny dress, looks like a xylophone. Taikobo tried to use konami code... it failed miserably. That guy at the end is really op to take everyone out with such ease.

Basically the group of 'bad guys', the Shisei follow Bunchu (The guy with the whip) who is loyal to Yin, Taikobo just wanted to kill Dakki but now he wants to put a new ruler on the throne because the actual ruler (Ruler of Yin) was corrupted by Dakki and the people no longer trust him.

The preview for next episode makes me nervous.. They are probably skipping over 50 chapters of the manga lol..

I honestly gave up after episode 2 because it was phasing faster than a recap of 100 episodes in any other anime. - I am genuinely curious if this show is continuing at this phase up till episode 5 and if yes, how can any of you watch it?

During the two episodes i watched i was bombarded with questions which were never answered, but instead I was hurled into a new scenario with new characters for hardly a minute before getting thrown into a mountain of other questions with no answers. I can't help but feel like i was watching a show that was going at 500 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone.

For this part, I like the 1st anime better cos u can see Taikoubo use this code while dodging the water pillars and Supuxiang became very confused of what actually is that command about and how should he had moved base on it!
But for this anime, they just stand still in one place, not dodging or anything, then Taikoubo said the code out, and Supuxiang doesn't seem to react to it ended up feeling like "what's the point of this code for since I'm not even moving at all!?" LOL

I would be honest to say that the pacing of this anime is really making me quit watching it soon, but I'm still continuing to watch it for the sake of "how much will the original manga storyline being adapted and till where will it be ended."

But frankly, the loss of details (aka the questions that's never to get answered) is really making me lose interest quickly per episode for sure.
For this episode, the details for Shisei's battle is all being cut short/gone, I so wanna give out a long SIGHhhhhhhh only.

Woah that was an epic fight scene. So far the politics are playing in and the important fights seem to have started. Can't wait for next week!

Still can't keep track of the complex plot but both Taikoubou & Bunchuu has something to fight for, therefore no elimination happened.
4/5.

The plot is really not that complex in its essence. It's a story of rebellion against a tyrannical regime.

What might be hard to understand for regular viewers is the lore behind all the concepts (taken from Chinese dynastic history, mythology and Taoism)
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

I can watch it because I have already read the manga xD
If you already read the manga this show is basically a summarized version that skips to the best parts, in theory it should work.. But well, we are seeing the results in practice right now, I assume most people who haven't read the manga are confused.

Some great humor in this episode but this show still needs more fighting imo, feels like it gets there and then it just doesn't really get going at all.

what the frigg did that first part of the episode have to do with ANYTHING!?
he pass out after eating the thing,
episode start,
no explanation and moving back into random fight

the pacing of this anime is ridiculous, the old one did it much better, provided explanations and motivations, provided intelligent characters, and didn't rush past anything of interest X_x'
I like to comment Episodes as i Watch them.
